Welcome to the K12 Resource Ring homepage! Newmembers can add themselves to the ring, and existing members can move prospective new members from the queue to the ring. As its name implies, the K12 Resource Ring is devoted to linking together sites of K12 resources. The ring is NOT just a ring for schools and school homepages. It is a ring for personal homepages, teacher homepages, student homepages, commercial pages and any other K12 related pages! If your site has K12 related content, or you are a K12 site - please join up!

New Members

To add your web site to the K12 Resource Ring, please follow the 3 steps below:

Step 1:

You need to first fill out and submit the following form to submit your site to the queue of sites waiting to get linked into the ring. You will get an eMail message confirming your chosen password and giving you a user id. When you've gotten this eMail, then go on to Step 2.

Step 2:

Using your browser, copy the K12 Resource Ring graphic:

Save it in your web directory as a .gif file (named whatever you like) and then enter this URL reference " http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?id=___site_id_here___&ring=k12resource&next" as the "hot-link" for the graphic. Replace the text "___site_id_here___" with your site id number. Once you have done this you are ready to be moved from the queue to the ring itself! This is Step 3.

Step 3:

Ask any of the existing K12 Resource Ring members to add you to the ring by sending them an eMail. In your message you should ask them to come to this page (http://www.hungryfrog.com/k12resourcering.shtml) to add you to the ring. Make sure you tell them the ID number (not your password) you got when you added your site to the queue. The member you contact will come here and follow the instructions below for adding a queued member to the ring. You can also ask the ring manager to add you to the ring, if you don't feel comfortable asking a random ring member. That's it! You'll soon be a member of the K12 Resource Ring. Welcome!

If you are a member of the K12 Resource Ring, and wish to add a member to the ring use THIS LINK to transfer that person's site from the queue of sites waiting to get into the ring to the ring itself. Be sure you check the new members site to make sure it is appropriate for the K12 Resource Ring!
